Anh Ban!  Born in Vietnam

Anh Ban was born as an idea to a passionate Hanoi artist T. Dung, who is a master at Vietnamese lacquer techniques, lithography and sketching.

Born in the North in Tuyen Quang, to a modest family, Dung was always attracted to art, painting and sketching.  After completing a college and a university, he built his own workshop in Hanoi and started crafting beautiful Vietnamese artwork, selling which allowed him to pursue his artistic interests.

In 2015, he, in one of his flights of creativity came up with a thought: "what about making a little soldier doll that could represent Vietnam's peoples' struggle during the last thousands of years, the last war?"  It is those struggles that allowed the contrasting beauty of the Vietnamese people to shine through.

After several prototypes, Anh Ban! (a little fellow, a friend - in Vietnamese) was born.  Each one with its unique story, representing peace and desire to take care and protect its people.

Each Anh Ban! is carefully handcrafted and represents deep elements of Vietnamese culture and artistic tradition.

We hope you enjoy owning one unique and original art piece made in Vietnam by a Vietnamese artist.
